What’s that smell? It’s roasting green chiles, or what we like to think of as the fragrance of fall. Entrants to the Denver Post $25 Haiku Contest were hot to mild on the issue. We appreciated the spicy approach taken by Nick Green of Arvada:
Verde angel sleeps,
Attacked with knives, awakens.
Lashes back with fire.
