HUTCHINSON, Kan.—A Denver shelter is temporarily suspending the transportation of animals from the Hutchinson Animal Shelter after a ringworm case.
That leaves Cause for Paws, a volunteer group that transports the animals for the shelter, searching for places to send animals.
The Denver Dumb Friends League received a 4-month-old mixed breed cattle dog in late August from the Hutchinson shelter. The league adopted out the puppy, only to have it return with ringworm.
