Aurora police are looking for two men who committed four armed robberies at a light-rail station, a gas station and an adult-entertainment store.
So far, no one has been hurt by the robbers, but police are concerned that the men — who are armed with a handgun — could eventually harm a victim, said police spokesman Detective Bob Friel.
“They put a handgun up to the head of one of the cashiers at a store; that is dangerous. The potential for somebody to get seriously hurt is there,” he said.
The first three robberies took place on Aug. 12, when the bandits hit the Pleasures Adult Entertainment store at 2070 S. Havana St., and robbed people near an apartment complex and a gas station in separate incidents. One of the men was caught on camera holding a gun to the head of a clerk at Pleasures.
On Aug. 16, they held up someone on the platform at the light-rail station on Dayton Street and Interstate 225 near Cherry Creek Reservoir.
Police released the information after working unsuccessfully on the case for the past month. They are asking the public for help.
Anyone with information about the crimes should call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
