Pats outside looking in after three years

Kerry Collins: The Tennessee starter, left, became the 15th NFL quarterback with at least 35,000 yards passing in his career in the Titans’ 31-12 win over Houston. “It’s a nice milestone. But we’ve got work to do,” Collins said after the Titans improved to 3-0 for only the third time in franchise history.

Donovan McNabb: Philadelphia’s franchise quarterback moved ahead of Ron Jaworski for first on the Eagles’ all-time list with 176 touchdown passes in Philadelphia’s 15-6 win over Pittsburgh.

Bills: With Buffalo in first place in the AFC East, this marks the first time a team other than New England is on top of the division since Week 4 of 2005, when Miami was 2-1 and the Patriots were 2-2.
