Just in time for the Broncos’ alternative orange jerseys, defensive end Jarvis Moss got his first game-day uniform Sunday.
The decision to play Moss, the Broncos’ first-round draft choice in 2007, came at the expense of defensive end Tim Crowder, who was the second-round pick that year. Crowder led the Broncos’ inactive list that also included, for a second consecutive week, safety Hamza Abdullah.
The Broncos did dress defensive tackle Josh Shaw, who missed most of the practice week healing a gashed left calf. He played ahead of defensive tackle Nic Clemons.
Other Broncos who were inactive for the game against the Saints: Ryan Torain, Louis Green, Erik Pears, Tom Nalen and Darrell Jackson.
