In honor of last Friday, the Trust for Public Land’s Park(ing) Day, during which a handful of metered parking spots in downtown Denver were converted to mini-parks, we asked entrants to the Denver Post $25 Haiku Contest to versify on the topic of parking. Most poets went literal on us, so we appreciated the alternative approach taken by Carol Schroer of Hot Sulphur Springs, who apparently sat back and considered the topic for a spell:
Mind and bone weary
Creaking out of time present
Riding old rockers
