Jose Duran, 56, of Brighton was killed Monday night when he missed a stop sign and broadsided another pickup truck in Adams County, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
The crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. at East 152nd Avenue and Hayesmount Road, troopers said.
Duran’s Ford F350 truck hit a Dodge SQ2 truck that was pulling a trailer. The trailer came loose and rolled, but both pickups remained upright, troopers said.
Duran died at the scene. The Dodge’s driver, Dominic Suazo, 26, of Westminster and his passenger, Brad Wagner, 35, of Broomfield were wearing seat belts and sustained minor injuries, according to the State Patrol.
