A woman was rushed to a hospital this morning after being struck by a car during rush hour at the intersection of East 17th Avenue and Emerson Street, authorities say.
The pedestrian was hit at 7:24 a.m. while in a crosswalk and was taken to Denver Health Medical Center with serious injuries, said Lt. Phil Champagne, Denver fire spokesman.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
No charges or citations have been issued, said Detective John White, Denver police spokesman. The case is under investigation, he said.
