Alcohol is suspected of contributing to an accident that left the drivers of two vehicles with serious injuries in Jefferson County this evening.
The Colorado Highway Patrol said a woman driving a Chevrolet pickup truck ran a red light and turned into the path of a Nissan sport-utility vehicle causing a major crash at South Wadsworth Boulevard and West Coal Mine Road in Littleton, said Trooper David Hall.
The crash happened about 6:30 p.m. Both women were rushed to Swedish Medical Center in Englewood. Their names were not released this evening.
