WESTMINSTER — Two Moore Middle School eighth-grade girls were struck by a car early Thursday on their way to school, and one of them was taken to Children’s Hospital with injuries, authorities say.
The names of the 13-year-olds have not been released.
Cassandra Miller, 23, was ticketed for running a red light, said Stephanie Topkoff, Westminster police spokeswoman. Miller has a valid Colorado driver’s license, and it did not appear that alcohol or drugs were involved. Kirk Mitchell, The Denver Post
