LONGMONT, Colo.—The Boulder County coroner says foul play has been ruled out in what Longmont police call the suspicious death of a 56-year-old woman.
The brother of Patricia J. Apple found her body inside her Longmont apartment about 11 p.m. Wednesday. He went there after family members became concerned that they hadn’t heard from the woman for a couple of days.
Coroner Thomas Faure (fohr) says the cause and manner of Apple’s death are pending additional laboratory tests.
Longmont Police Cmdr. Tim Lewis says Apple’s death is considered suspicious because she didn’t have any known medical problems, had no obvious injuries, and did not appear to have committed suicide.
Police did arrest Apple’s 64-year-old boyfriend on an outstanding domestic violence warrant.
