The Colorado men’s basketball received its second oral commitment of the week when 6-foot-4 shooting guard Alec Burks of Grandview ( Mo.) High School, picked the Buffaloes on Thursday, according to Internet recruiting sites.
Burks averaged 19.9 points and 4.8 rebounds per game last season as a junior. He told that he also considered Kansas State, Drake, Santa Clara, Missouri State and Wichita State.
“I liked the mountains and the coaching staff and the players, and just the whole (CU) campus,” Burks told Rivals.
Earlier in the week, Colorado received an oral commitment from 6-6 small forward Keegan Hornbuckle of Campbell Hall in Los Angeles. Burks and Hornbuckle plan to sign with CU during the early signing period in November.
