AURORA, Colo.—Health officials in Aurora say a total of six children at a home daycare have been sickened by E. coli.

The Tri-County Health Department earlier announced that a 3-year-old boy died Sept. 19 after being infected and that a girl had also been infected.

Executive director Richard Vogt said the four additional cases confirm that the bacteria was likely spread within the unlicensed daycare. None of those children had to be hospitalized.

State officials have ordered the daycare to close. Colorado requires that daycare centers that care for two or more unrelated children must have a license.
