MOSCOW — A poll conducted by the All-Russian Public ap Research Center has shown that two-thirds of Russians do not use the Internet.
According to the poll by VTsIOM, the 69 percent figure represents a seven-percentage-point drop from the 76 percent of the population who did not use the Internet in 2006. The survey shows that 11 percent of Russians use the Internet every day, more than twice as many as two years ago.
The poll also says that in 2005, only 10 percent used the Internet as an information source, while this year the figure has reached 20 percent.
