MONTROSE, Colo.—Police say a fire that gutted a Montrose fitness center last week was arson.
The Sept. 24 fire did $750,000 damage to the Montrose Athletic Club. No injuries were reported.
Police said Monday they believe the fire was deliberately set, but Chief Tom Chinn said he couldn’t discuss specifics.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is helping with the investigation.
