The skier whose body was recovered on Taylor Glacier in Rocky Mountain National Park has been identified as Matthew Chesaux, 40, of Boulder.
The Larimer County Coroner’s Office determined his death was an accident. Cheaux was an experienced skier and mountain climber and was wearing a helmet, the coroner said.
He was was skiing alone and died of massive trauma, according to a Rocky Mountain National Park spokesman.
Chesaux was reported missing late Tuesday, and his body was recovered Wednesday afternoon.
