San Francisco salutes QB Young

Steve Young: The Hall of Fame quarterback had his No. 8 jersey retired by San Francisco in a halftime ceremony on Sunday. Young was a two-time league MVP who led the 49ers to their fifth title in the 1995 Super Bowl with a record six touchdown passes. He was selected to seven consecutive Pro Bowls while compiling a 96.8 career passer rating, the highest in NFL history.

Terrell Owens: His first catch in a win over the Cincinnati Bengals was the 900th of his career. He’s the eighth receiver to reach that mark, and the third-fastest (178 games).

Peyton Manning: The Indianapolis Colts’ victory against Houston left Manning tied with Terry Bradshaw for seventh on the NFL quarterbacks win list with 107.
