The NCAA announced a cable television package of nine men’s and women’s Division II basketball games that will be carried on CBS College Sports Network next season, including a game spotlighting the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
The network will air a Feb. 14 men’s game between Colorado Christian and Metro State at the Roadrunners’ Auraria Campus.
The first game will be a men’s game Jan. 3 with Chaminade at Dixie State. Other men’s games are Cal State-Los Angeles at Cal State-San Bernardino on Jan. 31, Northwest Missouri State at Central Missouri on Feb. 21, and Wheeling Jesuit at West Liberty State on Feb. 28.
The women’s games are Florida Southern at Barry on Jan. 10, East Stroudsburg at Shippensburg on Jan. 17, Incarnate Word at St. Mary’s, Texas, on Jan. 24, and Northwest Nazarene at Seattle Pacific on Feb. 7.
Colorado College hockey moves to No. 3.
The Colorado College hockey team moved up two spots in two national Division I polls Monday, jumping to No. 3 in the U.S. College Hockey Online and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls. The Tigers also were among the teams receiving first-place votes.
Denver is ranked No. 6 in both polls.
CSU volleyball’s wins not rewarded in polls.
Despite sweeping two matches last week, the Colorado State women’s volleyball team dropped one spot in the CSTV/AVCA Coaches poll, to No. 13.
The Rams (13-1, 4-0 Mountain West), defeated Air Force 3-0 and topped then-No. 25 Arizona 3-1 at Moby Arena last week. No. 12 Minnesota jumped over the Rams after topping No. 19 Illinois and No. 18 Purdue.
