ARVADA — Arvada and Denver police are looking for a stolen car — and not just any missing vehicle.
Thieves stole an unmarked police car that a Denver detective had driven home to Arvada. The gray 2002 Ford Taurus had a police-issued shotgun in the trunk.
The four-door car was stolen about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday from the officer’s home near West 58th Avenue and Kipling Street.
The car carries Colorado license plate 356-DHS.
