DENVER—A Littleton man is dead after authorities say he ran a red light and slammed into a car making a left turn in Douglas County.

The Colorado State Patrol says 29-year-old Randy Engle was not wearing a helmet and suffered fatal injuries when he crashed into a Toyota Prius about 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

The accident occurred near state Highway C470 and University Blvd.

Engle was ejected on impact. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota, 51-year-old John Watts of Centennial, was not hurt.
