LAYTON, UTAH — A Colorado man has been indicted on charges that he kidnapped his girlfriend and brought her to Utah.
Layton Police Lt. Quinn Moyes says Robert Edward Kelsey, 35, was indicted Thursday. Kelsey is in the Davis County Jail on a no-bail hold. It was not clear today if he had an attorney.
Layton police arrested Kelsey Oct. 3, following a call from a doctor’s office where a barefoot, 40-year-old woman had sought help.
The Erie woman told police Kelsey had bound her with the belt from a bathrobe and forced her into a car after an argument in her home.
The woman said Kelsey drove her to Utah, where she was able to persuade him to let her get medical attention.
