Michael Pittman became the Broncos’ first 100-yard rusher this season with 109 yards on 20 carries in place of injured starter Selvin Young.
Strong start for Cutler:
Jay Cutler was 7-for-7 passing on Denver’s opening possession, including an 11-yard touchdown strike. The Broncos, though, couldn’t maintain momentum from that drive.
Martinez makes his move:
Glenn Martinez filled in well for the injured Eddie Royal on punt returns, gaining 47 yards on three attempts. With Royal a valuable starter on offense, Martinez may have earned himself the full-time punt return job.
