LOUISVILLE, Colo.—One of the largest employers in Louisville is closing and shifting jobs to a larger office in Florida.

Kable Fulfillment Services handles the subscription cards found in magazines and employs 475 people. The office is being shut down by parent company Kable Media Services, one of the world’s largest magazine circulators, and merged with that of another subsidiary, Palm Coast Data in Palm Coast, Fla.

The consolidation is expected to take two years and Colorado workers will be able to apply for new jobs at the Florida office. It now has 1,000 employees and 700 positions are expected to be added there.

Louisville’s city manager Malcolm Flemming says the closure will cost the city $50,000 a year in tax revenue.
