GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.—Greenwood Village police are investigating a weekend shooting that left a boy with an injury to one of his legs.

Authorities say three juvenile boys were inside a home Saturday when one of them took a gun from a safe and started showing it to the other two.

The gun went off, hitting one of the boys in the leg.

The victim was taken to Swedish Medical Center in Englewood with a non-life threatening injury. His condition is unknown.

Greenwood Village police Lt. Randy Corbitt says two of the boys were visiting the home at the time of the incident.

The names and ages of the boys have not been released.
