Freshman quarterback Tim Jefferson, who left Air Force’s 35-10 win at San Diego State during the second half after a helmet-to-helmet collision, participated in the Falcons’ practice Monday afternoon.

Air Force coach Troy Calhoun revealed Sunday that Jefferson, who made his first collegiate start Saturday night against the Aztecs, had suffered a mild concussion.

“He did everything in today’s practice,” Calhoun said. “We want to push through Tuesday’s practice before we make a final decision on if he starts this week.”

The Falcons play Saturday night at Nevada-Las Vegas.

Calhoun said sophomore fullback Jared Tew didn’t practice because of a shoulder injury.

Air Force announced the starting time for its Nov. 1 game against Army at West Point. The Falcons and Black Knights will play at 10:06 a.m. Mountain time.
