Boulder County investigators today released a composite sketch of a man sought in the attempted kidnapping of a third-grader Monday.

The little girl was walking home from Heatherwood Elementary School near Boulder about 3:15 Monday when the man, described as being in his late teens or early 20s, tried to wrestle her into his newer model, silver two-door hatchback, possibly a Toyota, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Department said.

The girl fought until she got free and ran home.

The man is described as white between five feet, eight inches and five feet, 11 inches tall, with a thin build.

He also is described as having a dark tan complexion and had short light-brown hair that was longer and curly in the back.

He was wearing a blue T-shirt, baggy blue jeans and black and yellow boxer shorts. He also was wearing a beaded necklace with a shark pendant.

Anyone with any information can call Detective Ali Thompson at 303-441-3643.
