A motorist who drove a car into the back of a semi tractor-trailer on Interstate 25 early this morning was killed, authorities say.
Matthew Guerrero, 25, of Greeley was pronounced dead at the scene after the 6:30 a.m. accident near the Longmont exit of southbound I-25, said Ryan Sullivan, Colorado State Patrol spokesman.
Guerrero was driving a gray 2005 Volkswagen Jetta that smashed into the rear of a blue 2003 Freightliner semi tractor-trailer, Sullivan said.
The car became attached to the trailer, and the driver of the Freightliner was able to move to the shoulder of the highway, he said.
