AURORA — Police are searching for a motive as to why a woman was shot in the lower torso at Highland Hollows Park on Monday night.
The woman, whose identity was not released, was in good condition after she was taken by a friend to a hospital for treatment, according to Bob Friel, Aurora police spokesman.
The woman was with the friend just before 8 p.m. at the park near South Tower Road and East Mississippi Avenue when an unknown person fired a shot, he said.
