BOULDER, COLO. — A professional gambler is suing a man to collect on a $29,000 debt he says was accrued during a night of poker.
Francois Safieddine filed his lawsuit in Boulder County District Court last week, alleging Sean S. Ahn has failed to pay him since the poker gathering in March at Safieddine’s home.
Safieddine has won a World Series of Poker event and his profile on lists his total winnings as $1.5 million.
The lawsuit says the game at Safieddine’s home was legal under Colorado law because the 10 people who played all knew each other.
Safieddine’s attorney says they don’t know where Ahn is living.
The lawsuit says Ahn has only paid $1,000 of the debt.
