MINTURN, Colo.—The economy is slowing plans for a private ski and golf resort in Minturn.
Bill Weber of the Ginn Co. says there’s no hurry to submit a final plan for the resort on Battle Mountain considering the economy. He says the company continues to work with Minturn officials on the project.
In May, Minturn voters approved annexing the land owned by Bobby Ginn. The town approved a preliminary plan for the project in August.
The company has three years to submit a final plan.
The developer has promised the town more than $162 million in benefits including a recreation center, a library, new sidewalks and a bike path, water and wastewater treatment plants and scholarships.
Minturn, 75 miles west of Denver, is just southwest of Vail.
