DENVER—It’s still October, but election time has arrived in Colorado.

Polls open Monday morning in early locations in every county. Elections officials in Colorado have warned of long lines on Nov. 4, so they’re encouraging folks to vote in an early location or to mail in their ballots.

This may the first election in which a majority of ballots are sent in. Colorado has some 2.5 million active registered voters, and state officials say 57 percent of them have requested mail-in ballots.

There’s still time to request a mail-in ballot. Oct. 28th is the last day to send in a mail-in application. You have until Oct. 31 if you drop it off.
