Two people received minor injuries this morning when a gas leak caused a small explosion at a house in Frederick.
“I was very surprised they weren’t more hurt,” said Frederick Police Officer Steve Walje.
The explosion occurred about 9 a.m. while a couple were cooking breakfast for their grandson. The grandmother and grandson were taken to a local hospital, mostly for observation, Walje said.
Most of the damage remained in the kitchen area, he said.
