FORT COLLINS, Colo.—More than 40,000 new voters have registered in Larimer County since July. Most of the new voters are unaffiliated or Democrats, but Republicans still have the overall lead.
County officials say nearly 15,700 of the new voters are unaffiliated, nearly 13,700 are Democrats and more than 10,000 are Republicans.
Overall, the county has nearly 64,000 registered Republicans, nearly 60,000 unaffiliated voters and more than 53,000 Democrats.
The total of 178,000 active registered voters is a record for the county.
Larimer County is Colorado’s seventh largest by population.
