GREELEY, Colo.—Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden is campaigning in Colorado, saying Republicans have no plan to help the middle class amid the nation’s worsening economic crisis.
Biden held rallies in Greeley and the Denver suburb of Commerce City Tuesday. He insisted the economy is the top election issue and urged Republicans to stop attacking Barack Obama.
Biden again linked Republican John McCain to President Bush, saying Democrats are running against “the very same Bush economic policies that have dug us into this hole.”
Biden spoke before several thousand people at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley before heading for Commerce City. He plans campaign stops in Pueblo and Colorado Springs on Wednesday.
