A Littleton man was stabbed four times and a suspect has been arrested in the weekend attack, police said.

The incident happened at about 1:40 a.m. Saturday on the 100 block of West Ida Avenue, Littleton police said in a press release.

The victim was stabbed with an eight-inch blade and suffered injuries to his pancreas, liver and lung, police said. He was taken to Littleton Hospital where he is expected to recover.

Police identified the suspect in the stabbing as 24-year-old Jose Alejandro Meza-Flores.

Meza-Flores is being held at the Arapahoe County Jail on suspicion of attempted second degree murder.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
