FORT COLLINS — Safety Klint Kubiak (ankle) likely will miss a third consecutive game when Colorado State plays Saturday at San Diego State.
CSU coach Steve Fairchild said Tuesday: “It does not look good. We’re still hoping, but I don’t anticipate him practicing. It may come down to a game-time decision.”
The Aztecs also have been hit by injuries and have lost nine starters this season, forcing many true freshmen into the lineup on defense.
“It’s hard to yell at those guys when they’ve been thrown into the mix and are not ready to play,” San Diego State coach Chuck Long said Tuesday.
Meanwhile, CSU’s indoor practice facility, under construction, can’t get finished soon enough. A downpour forced the Rams inside Moby Arena, bumping basketball practice.
