Boulder authorities are asking for help in finding two teenagers who pulled a knife and robbed an older man out for a walk Tuesday evening.
The 57-year-old Longmont resident was walking on the Niwot Loop Trail near north 79 Street south of Niwot around 7:30 p.m. when the youths stopped him. They took an undetermined amount of cash from him and fled.
He said they looked to be about 14 or 15 years old. One was a Caucasian, with short, sandy brown hair, about 5′-10″ tall weighing about 150 pounds. He was wearing a bluish green parka, baggy jeans and tennis shoes.
The other was a Hispanic and a little stockier at about 5′-8″ and 160 pounds. He was wearing a white ball cap, black or navy hoodie, baggy jeans and high-top tennis shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to call (303) 441-3615 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). A cash award may be available.
