A man shot by Denver police because an officer thought he was going to shoot at pedestrians or fellow officers has been charged with menacing.
Dwight Collins, 24, is being charged with felony menacing and prohibited use of a weapon, according to Denver district attorney’s office spokesman Lynn Kimbrough.
On Friday, the unidentified officer fired after he allegedly saw Collins, in a car, point a gun toward pedestrians and another police car in Lower Downtown.
