BOULDER, Colo.—Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader criticized the nation’s two-party system during a campaign stop in Boulder.
Nader drew an enthusiastic crowd of about 900 people Wednesday night.
He charged that John McCain and Barack Obama have been corrupted by corporate donations. He said that supporting only Democrats and Republicans takes power from everyday voters and puts it in the hands of corporations and the very rich.
Nader proposed several higher education policies during a news conference before his speech. They included getting rid of commercial student loan corporations, making university budgets more transparent and working toward free tuition.
