Kyle Ostrow had two goals and an assist, and Marc Cheverie made 41 saves to lead undefeated Denver over Ohio State 3-1 on Friday night.

Anthony Maiani gave the Pioneers (4-0-0) a 1-0 lead on a 5-on-3 power-play goal that fell into the net after hitting the crossbar at 10:48 of the second period, and Ostrow scored nearly six minutes later to make it 2-0.

The Buckeyes (1-3-1) also scored on a 5-on-3 power play as freshman Matt Bartkowski scored his first career goal 6:00 into the third period to pull Ohio State within 2-1.

Ostrow’s second goal at 8:17 of the period off a feed from Maiani gave Denver a 3-1 lead.

Dustin Carlson stopped 33 shots for Ohio State.
