LINCOLN, Neb.—Nebraska will a face a tough task at fourth-ranked Oklahoma and it’s the Sooners’ pace that is among the challenges seen by Nebraska defensive coordinator Carl Pelini.

He says the Oklahoma (7-1, 4-1 Big 12) offense changes tempo a lot. He says when they move quickly, sometimes you just have to “weather that storm for three or four plays or a series” until they pick up a normal pace again. He says the Cornhuskers always have to be ready for that possibility.

He says the Sooners’ have an excellent passing game and their timing also can be difficult to predict.

The Huskers (5-3, 2-2) practiced for 2 1/2 hours Tuesday outside Memorial Stadium in preparation.

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ESPN will televise the game.
