CROSSVILLE, Ill. — An oil well exploded in southern Illinois on Wednesday, killing two workers and injuring four others, authorities said. Workers were cementing a finished well when gas from the well ignited, White County Sheriff Doug Maier said. The fire was under control by the afternoon.
