United Airlines said Wednesday it is offering a baggage-shipping service via Fed Ex that will allow air passengers to travel without suitcases, golf clubs or skis and have them delivered separately to the door of a traveler’s final destination.
The airline will charge $149 a bag for the door-to-door service for flights of less than 1,000 miles and $179 a bag for longer flights. Travelers can sign up for the baggage service at .
