ATLANTA — A former Atlanta police officer who was part of a botched raid that ended in the shooting death of a 92- year-old woman has pleaded guilty to federal conspiracy charges.

Arthur Tesler faces more than 10 years in prison after his plea Thursday for lying to the FBI in an attempt to cover up the mistakes that led to the raid.

Kathryn Johnston died in a hail of police bullets after narcotics officers burst into her Atlanta home.
