BOULDER, Colo.—Boulder police are asking the public for help as they investigate two attacks this weekend—a possible bias-motivated assault and an unrelated rape.
Police say a 20-year-old woman walking home from a party early Saturday was gang-raped by a group of four men near Boulder High School. The woman hasn’t been able to pinpoint exactly where she was attacked, preventing police from gathering evidence at the scene.
Police also say an Asian-American man was assaulted after being approached by a group of men early Friday and said he was forced to say “I love America.”
While the man had reported being threatened with a knife, police now say he never saw a knife. One man punched the victim and also reached into his pants pocket and said “I’m going to cut you.”
