COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Richard Bachman stopped 40 shots on goal and Andreas Vlassopoulos scored a goal and assisted on another in top-ranked Colorado College’s 3-2 win over archrival University of Denver on Sunday.
Vlassopoulos assisted on Scott McCulloch’s first-period goal on the power play and made it 2-0 off an assist from Addison DeBoer with less than a minute left in the first period.
Tyler Bozak’s goal 1:34 into the second period made it 2-1, but the Tigers (5-0-3, 3-0-1 WCHA) restored their two-goal advantage on Ryan Lowery’s score midway through the period.
The fourth-ranked Pioneers (4-2-1, 2-1-1) made it 3-2 on Tyler Ruegsegger’s power play goal with 5 1/2 minutes remaining.
Marc Cheverie had 17 saves for Denver. Bachman improved to 4-0-3.
