For the record: 3-5. The Browns trail Pittsburgh and Baltimore in the AFC North.
Last game: Baltimore came from behind to beat the Browns 37-27 in Cleveland.
Who’s hot: The Browns’ special teams. On Sunday against Baltimore, return man Josh Cribbs scored a touchdown on a 92-yard kickoff return, and kicker Phil Dawson nailed a 54-yard field goal.
Who’s not: Quarterback Derek Anderson’s so-so performance — 17-for-33 for 219 yards — had Cleveland fans again calling for Brady Quinn, who will get his first start against the Broncos.
Key stat: Cleveland is allowing only 200.1 yards passing per game, and its defense has nine interceptions, including three by defensive back Eric White.
FYI: The Browns have lost seven consecutive games to the Broncos dating to 1991. Cleveland’s last victory in the series was Oct. 8, 1990.
Coachspeak: “It’s deflating when they run the ball in for a touchdown. It’s deflating when they throw the ball over your head. It’s deflating when you don’t make a catch in the open. It’s deflating when you lose a game.” — Cleveland coach Romeo Crennel, on the Browns’ loss to Baltimore
