DENVER—The Colorado Avalanche have recalled forward David Jones from Lake Erie of the AHL.
Jones had been loaned to Lake Erie on Thursday to clear a roster spot for defenseman Kyle Cumiskey. Jones was recalled Friday under a non-roster exemption after forward Cody McCormick was given permission to leave the team for personal reasons.
Jones has one goal and one assist in 10 games this season.
