New York Times sportswriter Liz Robbins, who has written a captivating book on the 2007 New York City Marathon, will appear at the Tattered Cover (Colfax) tonight at 7:30.
Her book, “A Race Like No Other, 26.2 Miles Through the Streets of New York,” brings to life elite athletes from around the world and ordinary runners with extraordinary stories. It captures the spirit of the event and its history but also tells the story of the shocking death of Ryan Shay the day before last year’s race in the Olympic Trials marathon.
