COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. — A woman who died in a fire in a Colorado Springs townhome has been identified as 71-year-old Brigitte Finley.

The El Paso County coroner said today Finely was killed Nov. 4.

Authorities say Finley was smoking while breathing supplemental oxygen, and the tank exploded.

The fire was ruled an accident.

Finley was the only one in the townhome at the time. She and her husband, John Dunn, were staying in the townhome as guests of the owner, 81-year-old Mary Taggs.

Taggs had taken Dunn to a doctor’s appointment.

She has said the couple were homeless when she met them and gave them a place to stay.
